Hello Winter....

"Oh Hi Mr. Winter...so you thought you would drop in huh?"
---"Well it has been awhile since we last met. How are you MaryRose?"
"Well truth be told Mr. Winter I am cold and wet."
---"Yes sorry about that...I promise I won't be around long. I will only be around until March, April at the latest."
"APRIL!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?"
---"What MaryRose I thought you liked winter? I thought you loved coats, and hats, and scarves, and sweaters? When did you change?"
"I changed when you decided to stay around for five months! Mr. Winter I am breaking up with you!"

Haute Chocolate

To me winter really only means one thing...hot chocolate. And I will admit that I am a fan of dear ole Swiss Miss, but thought I would break out of my "Wichita, Kansas" bubble and try to make my own. Yes that is right...I decided to make hot chocolate...from scratch. And let me tell you this...SO GOOD!

Here is the recipe that I used...and you probably should to!

1 tablespoon cocoa
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 cup milk (I used soy)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
dash of cinnamon

Combine cocoa, sugar and water. Stir together until boiling. Add milk and vanilla, heat. Add dash of cinnamon...SERVE IT UP!
