Extra Extra Extra

I am ready to move...not because my building smells (which it does), or because I am sick of living alone (which I am), or because I am tried of having the same people as me for money every single morning (totally over this), but because I want a reason to buy new "art" work for my home. I want more walls to hang it on and more space to fill up. Here is what I am thinking I need....
SFGirlByBay
This first print I am really in love with. The story behind it is as follows "Commissioned by the British Ministry of Information in 1939, the original poster was meant to be distributed in the case of a catastrophic event, such as a German invasion. That invasion, of course, never happened. The 2.5 million copies of the posters were never distributed, never seen by the public and were eventually pulped." No not only would I have a great print hanging on my wall, I would have a great little tidbit of history...and who doesn't love that????

SparklePower
In the time of a recession I think this message is quite important...sure I may not be able to buy those Christian Louboutin shoes that cost $1,200, but I can buy this poster for $8 and feel mighty good about myself?

HammerPress
And then there is this beauty. I heart Sufjan Stevens...but even more I heart HAMMERPRESS...AND THEY ARE FROM KANSAS CITY!!!! True I am not from Kansas City and I no longer live in Kansas, but I love looking at their posters and knowing exactly what the venue looks like that the concert was in. It just feels like home....So if anyone was thinking to themselves "you know that Mary Rose sure does need a gift..." holla at a girl!

I have the "keep calm..." print on my wall! It definitely is a nice addition to any household.
