Harry Potter. Harry Potter. Ron Weasley!

I was recently tagged in a Facebook Note by a new friend here in Chicago (yes I am branching out and opening myself up to the possibility of making new friends...it is my Spring-Time resolution, since I don't believe in New Years Resolutions). It was a note about classic books that apparently the BBC reckons most people will have only read 6 of the 100 books on the list. I have read quite a few more...but Harry Potter alone would put me at 7!!!

My love for Harry Potter is a bit silly I suppose...being that I am 27 and count the series as my favorite book (because I like to think of it as one LOOOONNNNGGGG book). Or the fact that when Book 7 came out I was at the Borders on Michigan Ave. dressed as a Hogwarts School girl...

But I digress...so what had me thinking about all this (other than the fact that I am usually always thinking of Harry...) are the fantastic covers that artist M.S. Corley created...if you wanted to get me a gift...one of these prints would totally be boss!

I'm In Love With The Morton Salt Girl...

When I think about what I would ultimately like to look like...I think this pretty much sums it up...

And perhaps when I grow up...I can look like Betty Crocker...

DAKOTA!

It is very nice to see a young girl in Hollywood actually look like a young girl. Too often I think these girls cake on the make-up and borrow their mom's push-up bras....Dear Dakota Fanning...she has done it right. She looks 15 and yet still looks stylish!

Hey It Was A Book First...

So I am not going to lie...I really want to see this....

Three Inches...

After many, many, many months of neglecting my hair I made an appointment with the Aveda Institute (home of the $16 hair cut!)...granted it is a school and I am always a bit nervous about this...I figured "hey its just hair right?". So at 8:30 on a Saturday morning I went from this...

To THIS...

I kind of feel like a 12 year-old with the new hair and new glasses. But last night Ben told me I looked like Amelie...So I am going to say the haircut was a success!
